A recent letter states that we don’t need to worry about Trump as he is a lame duck and will be gone in four years.
First, a person can do a lot of damage in four years.
Second, Trump isn’t the real problem. People that are willing to kill an already agreed upon immigration bill on the say-so of a person not even elected are the real problem. People willing to throw the national budget into chaos and shut everything down on the say so of a person not even in office are the problem. People willing to stop one lame duck president from naming a Supreme Court justice while fast tracking the choice of another lame duck president are the problem.
People willing to ignore misogyny, racism, and incompetence are the real problem because they will keep electing people like Trump long after Trump is gone.
