Michael Moorer, the first left-hander to win the heavyweight title, and fellow two-division champions Ricky Hatton and Ivan Calderon were elected Thursday to the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Diego Corrales, who died two years after winning a 2005 bout voted "Fight of the Year," is the other member of the Hall's 2024 class from the men's modern category. The 13-member class was voted by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and a panel of international boxing historians. The enshrinement ceremonies will be June 6-9.

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou shockingly went the distance in his boxing debut early Sunday morning, even knocking down reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury at one point, but Fury remained undefeated after winning a split decision. Two judges gave Fury the fight by scores of 96-93 and 95-94, and the other judge favored Ngannou 95-94. Fury remained undefeated at 34-0-1 with 24 knockouts. Ngannou’s UFC record was 17-3.

Biaggio Ali Walsh used to think about fighting only when someone wanted to see if the grandson of "The Greatest" was any good himself. Muhammad Ali is one of the biggest and best-known figures in boxing history. When kids in Las Vegas discovered he was also the grandfather of Biaggio and his brother, Nico, they'd challenge the siblings to put on the gloves. These days, Ali Walsh can't wait to fight. He's early in his MMA career and has his next bout Wednesday at Madison Square Garden on a Professional Fighters League card.
