The Bills played at the stadium formerly known as New Era Field for four seasons, from 2016 through 2019.
The team and New Era Cap announced Wednesday that the sides are planning to sever the naming rights agreement.
In that time, the Bills went 18-14, with three seasons at 4-4. Sean McDermott, who has spoken often and fondly about the need for a home-field advantage and the passion of Bills fans, had a 14-10 mark at home in his three seasons as head coach.
Here are the year-by-year records:
2016: 4-4
2017: 6-2
2018: 4-4.
2019: 4-4.
First game: A 37-31 loss to the Jets on Sept. 15, 2016, in the Thursday night game of Week 2. The Bills had taken a 24-20 lead early in the third quarter on a 36-yard fumble return by Nickell Robey-Coleman, but the Jets scored 17 unanswered points to take a commanding lead. The Bills tacked on a touchdown in the final two minutes to cut the margin. Then Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 374 yards and a touchdown. Tyrod Taylor tossed three TDs for the Bills.

Last game: A 13-6 loss to the Jets in the meaningless Week 17 finale on Dec. 29 last year. The Bills had already clinched a playoff berth and rested their starters. A 1-yard touchdown reception by Jamison Crowder early in the fourth quarter was the lone TD of the game.
Notable debut: Rookie Josh Allen was named the starting quarterback in the days leading up to a Week 2 game against the Chargers in 2018. The Bills had been blown out in the opener by the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers won the game, 31-20, but all eyes were on Allen. He went 18-for-33 for 245 yards with a touchdown and an interception and was sacked five times. He also ran eight times for 32 yards.
Most memorable: How about Snow-magaden? Or the Lake Effect Bowl? Or the Snow Globe Bowl? The Bills outlasted the Colts, 13-7, in overtime. Eight inches of snow fell, obscuring the field, the action and even, at times, the players. "The ground is basically moving," Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins said afterward.
Sign of things to come: The Bills blasted the Dolphins, 42-17, in the finale of the 2018 season to finish 6-10. The more important thing was the optimism that it gave Bills fans after seeing what was rookie Josh Allen’s best game to that point. Allen was 17-for-26 for 224 yards with two passing touchdowns and an interception. He added 95 rushing yards and two more trips to the end zone.
