Camarena-Williams wins shot put at USA Indoors
ALBUQUERQUE - Tucsonan Jill Camarena-Williams won the women's shot put Sunday at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Camarena- Williams, a University of Arizona volunteer assistant coach, had a winning throw of 64 feet 2 3/4 inches.
At the same meet, Chaunte Lowe set an American record in the women's high jump, clearing 6 feet 7 1/2 inches, and Trell Kimmons turned in the world's best time this year in winning the men's 60-meter dash in 6.45 seconds.

Cats 11th in Palm Desert golf
The Arizona Wildcats gained eight spots in the standings, shooting two rounds under 300 Sunday to finish 11th in the Wyoming Desert Classic in Palm Desert, Calif.

Junior Juan Pablo Hernandez led the UA with an even-par total of 2,116 for the three rounds, good for a tie for 21st place.
UNLV won the team title with a 20-under-par 844, seven shots ahead of Texas Tech.
• The Wildcats closed their hockey season Saturday night with a 5-3 loss to No. 4 Arizona State at the Tucson Convention Center.

Vonn wins 18th super G
BANSKO, Bulgaria - Lindsey Vonn captured a World Cup super-G Sunday to become the career leader in the discipline. By winning her 18th super G the American overtook Austria's Renate Goetschl for the record.
Vonn, who also won the super-G race in Bansko three years ago, has 10 World Cup victories this season and 51 for her career.
• In Lake Placid, N.Y., American Steven Holcomb won the gold medal in four-man at the bobsled world championships. It was Holcomb's second gold in four-man at worlds.

Midfielder Landon Donovan, suffering from bronchitis, was dropped from the U.S. team that will play Italy on Wednesday, raising the possibility he may play for the Los Angeles Galaxy this week at the Desert Diamond Cup.
