The College Football Playoff Committee continues to value the Arizona Wildcats more than the media and coaches.
In the latest College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings, the Arizona Wildcats are ranked 7th — one spot higher than they are in the AP Top 25 and the Amway Coaches Top 25.
The UA is the highest ranked two-loss team in the country. The 10-2 Wildcats are behind just Alabama, Oregon, TCU, Florida State, Ohio State and Baylor.
The committee released their latest rankings earlier tonight. Unlike the AP and coaches poll, the Wildcats are ranked ahead of 10-2 Michigan State.
This will be the final time the committee publicly releases rankings before the final poll is revealed Sunday on ESPN.
In order for the UA to get into the inaugural College Football Playoff, the Wildcats will need to beat Oregon in Friday’s Pac-12 Championship game and then be ranked in the top four.

The Wildcats would either need to jump Ohio State and Baylor or need the Buckeyes to lose to Wisconsin and the Bears to lose to Kansas State.
All total, there are six Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 25, led by the second-ranked Ducks. Arizona is next at No. 7 followed by UCLA (15), Arizona State (17), Utah (23) and USC (25).
