To Sierra Vistans, Megan Carnett might be recognized because of the work she does at her parents' family practice.
To the 25,000 people per month who read her fashion blog, she's the model, designer and author of Longliveclassy.com
"It's more like a creative outlet. I like to tell people that it's like my second life," said Carnett, an 18-year-old who's lived in Sierra Vista the past 15 years. "After following a lot of other bloggers, I figured I would start my own and join a community of people who want to talk about fashion all the time. It took off."
Longliveclassy.com is a little more than a year old. Carnett launched a photography website, MeganCarnettphotography.com, in February.
Carnett's newest project is Chicforaweek.com, a for-profit shoe rental website that launched in September. A conversation with her father about a bag Carnett had leased from Renttherunway.com sparked the idea.

"Women love shoes, I love shoes," she said. "Why not let women enjoy designer shoes like they can enjoy designer dresses and bags?"
Inventory includes nude Tory Burch flats and a few pairs of high heels, including a black and white polka-dotted pair from Kate Spade.
The shoes aren't obnoxiously colorful or so high they feel like stilts; they're the footwear Carnett and the readers of her blog might wear.
Carnett says she likes the way Kate Middleton and Reese Witherspoon dress.
"In three words, I would say my blog is: Classic, preppy and useful or fresh. I get a lot of inspiration from other style bloggers who kind of have the same style," Carnett said. "Also, from magazines and cutting out pictures and putting them on a bulletin board. There's inspiration from other people and what you see around."
Although some of her outfits feature clothing from stores in Sierra Vista, such as Target, Carnett said she often gets reminded she lives in an area with a laid-back fashion vibe.
"I've expressed this before to blog readers; they say, 'You belong on the East Coast with the way you dress,'" she said. "People will ask me, 'Why are you so dressed up? Are you going to a wedding?' They aren't used to it."
With her three websites, Carnett can communicate with other fashion bloggers and fashion blog readers.
"It's fun to interact with other people and take pictures of outfits," she said. "It's an escape from what we have here."
In the future, Carnett might take that escape to new heights. She's currently working on a men's version of Longliveclassy.com and said she's always coming up with new ideas for her blog.
"I've always wanted to be able to manage my own thing," she said. "I'm hoping it'll turn into a full-time job or a career. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and I want to be my own boss."
"People will ask me, 'Why are you so dressed up?' They aren't used to it."
