Merged Bank of Tucson aims to expand reach
Bank of Tucson and Southern Arizona Community Bank have formally completed their merger and will operate under the Bank of Tucson brand after receiving final regulatory approvals, bank officials announced Tuesday.
Signage on the former Southern Arizona Community Bank office at 6400 N. Oracle Road was changed Tuesday to Bank of Tucson, Bank of Tucson President and CEO Mike Hannley said.
The bank's other location and main office is at 4400 E. Broadway.
Hannley said the merged bank is planning to expand its reach with seven new offices this year, the first of which should be open in the next few months.
Bank of Tucson's former Nogales branch office was not included in the sale and is now part of Phoenix-based Sunrise Bank of Arizona.
