Are you ready to go? Powerman 5000 frontman Spider One has been ready since the '90s, and he'll be unleashing the newest incarnation of his industrial metal brood at The Rock next Wednesday.
Powerman 5000 has undergone frequent membership changes since Spider and original guitarist Adam 12 released their debut EP "True Force" in 1994, though Spider has always remained the center of Powerman's power. The half-brother of musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie , Spider has rocked everywhere from the main stage at Ozzfest to an episode of "Beverly Hills 90210."
Spider's band is most widely known for its platinum-selling, sci-fi-themed album "Tonight the Stars Revolt!" The album features the band's heavily played track "When Worlds Collide," whose raging chorus begs the eternal live rock question, "Are you ready to go?"
Powerman released its sixth studio album, "Somewhere on the Other Side of Nowhere," last October after two years of production. The electronica-injected collection contains singles "Super Villain" and "V is for Vampire," which proves that spelling can be totally metal.
