Janette Salido-Hernandez, 29, of Mexico, was booked into the Pinal County jail Oct. 18, 2013, on suspicion of possession of marijuana, transportation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. She claimed she was just being a Good Samaritan, when deputies found 11 illegal immigrants and 45 pounds of pot in her SUV during a traffic stop. She said she stopped to offer the men a ride and in exchange they have her $300. Neither she, nor the 11 illegal immigrants knew anything about the $34,125 worth of marijuana in her SUV, a sheriff’s report stated.
