A man convicted at trial on numerous child pornography and sexual conduct with a minor charges will spend the remainder of his life in prison.
Ronald Paul Gulli, 47, was convicted at trial in Pima County Superior Court in October of 26 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of conduct with a minor.
Because state law requires the prison terms to be served consecutively, Pima County Superior Court Judge Danelle Liwski sentenced Gulli to 488 years in prison.
When originally arrested, police found numerous images and videos on his computer depicting children involved in sexual acts.
At Tuesday’s sentencing Deputy Pima County Attorney Ryan Schmidt said child pornography consumption perpetuates an industry that abuses children.
In Gulli’s case, he said, it did more.
