Funeral and burial services for fallen Tucson police Officer Erik David Hite will be Tuesday morning, police said.
The service will be at 10 a.m. at Pantano Christian Church, 10355 E. 29th St. Immediately following the service, Hite will be taken to East Lawn Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Road, for burial.
The procession will go east on 29th Street to Houghton Road, north on Houghton to East Speedway, west on Speedway to North Kolb Road, then turn north to East Grant Road and west to the cemetery, said Sgt. Mark Robinson, a department spokesman.
The viewing for Hite will be at Adair Funeral Home, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., on Monday night. Private viewing will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and viewing for law enforcement personnel and the public will be from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Hite, 43, was fatally wounded Sunday during an hour-long cross-town shooting spree that also wounded two Pima County Sheriff’s deputies. His accused killer, 25-year-old David Nickolas Delich, is facing charges including one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder and remains in the Pima County jail in lieu of $2.5 million bond.
