PHOENIX — Authorities say an Arizona Department of Corrections officer has committed suicide at the state prison in Goodyear.
The officer reportedly killed himself Thursday night in the outside perimeter of the Arizona State Prison Complex-Perryville.
The DOC says the officer had been with the department since 1999.
His name has not been released yet.
Corrections officials say an investigation is being conducted regarding the circumstances of the suicide.
