WASHINGTON — Arizona's state flag will be featured by the U.S. Postal Service as it launches a multi-stamp series honoring the state's standards.
The first 10 stamps in the new series will be released during a first-of-day-of-issue ceremony at the National Postal Museum in Washington on Saturday, which is Flag Day.
The series of 60 stamps to be issued over three years featuring the flags of the states, District of Columbia and territories as well as the stars and stripes.
The first set of stamps will salute the U.S. flag and the flags of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut and Delaware.
The second set of 10 flags will be issued in September.
