Online free tickets will be available for the 50 presentations at five of the most popular venues at the Tucson Festival of Books, March 14-15 at the University of Arizona.
Here’s what you need to know:
Online free ticketing will be available for all events in the following venues:
- Student Union Ballroom
- Student Union Gallagher Theater
- Koffler Room 204
- Integrated Learning Center Room 120
- Modern Languages Room 350
All other venues will seat festival goers on a first-come, first-seated basis, as in previous years.
When does online ticketing start:
- Thursday through Saturday for Friends of the Festival at the $125 level and above
- Sunday to the public.
- Online reservations close at noon March 13.

What if I don’t have an advance ticket?
Walking up is still OK. If you don't have an online reservation, there will seats set aside on a first-come, first-served basis at the venues.
Why is online ticketing being implemented?
It is an effort to ease the long lines for some of the more popular authors.

The online ticketing does not include Noam Chomsky’s session at 4 p.m. March 15 in Centennial Hall. Those tickets must be picked up in person at the Centennial Hall Box Office, 1020 E. University Blvd., available after the box office opens at noon March 15.
