If you're the parent of an elementary student, it's not too early to start thinking about college. In fact, it is believed that the earlier you start preparing and thinking about it, the more successful your child will be in entering a four-year university.
Enter the College Academy for Parents. It's is a free program, led by University of Arizona staff and professors, designed to help parents of elementary school students create a plan for their child's educational future.Â
Weekly workshops cover how to prepare and apply for college and how to pay for it. UA professors will also lead workshops about each of the main subject areas, and how you can help your child learn better.Â
Workshops are available for 20 families from each of the Sunnyside Unified School District elementary schools, on a first-come, first-served basis.
