There may be a new, animal-friendly voice in Congressional District 3.
Go Vegan from the Boiling Frog Party hopped into the race earlier this month and submitted a statement of candidacy with the Federal Elections Commission.
The campaign supporting a plant-based diet jumps into the CD3 race challenging Democrat incumbent Raúl Grijalva and challenger Eat Bacon.
The party’s Facebook page links back to what appears to be the official Boiling Frog Party website. The site’s homepage, titled “Gary Swing for Frog King,” looks to be a declaration of candidacy from — wait for it — Gary Swing.

The Denver, Colorado man appears to be behind the Boiling Frog Party hasn’t just thrown his hat in the CD3 ring, either.
His bid to be an Arizona representative is just the most recent of three simultaneous bids for office across two different states, including a campaign to represent Colorado in the U.S. Senate as well as for the White House.
The party’s website said that the Boiling Frog Party is looking to run an “independent ‘dark green, dark humor’ political campaign with a mixture of satire and serious commentary.”
Swing couldn’t be reached for comment at this time.
