Hundreds of fans showed up for a free mini-concert put on by the Jonas Brothers in the parking lot of a Tucson radio station.
The pop-punk trio will sang in front of a horde of adoring fans shortly before 9 a.m. Several of the people had waited for hours to see the group play a handful of songs on a stage set up in front of the KRQQ 93.7 FM studios, 3202 N. Oracle Road.
The morning concert was billed as a gift to Tucson fans who couldn't get tickets to the sold-out Tucson Music Hall concert Thursday night. The concert kicks off the Jonas Brothers’ first-ever solo tour.
The Jonas Brothers, in an interview with the Star, said they are launching their tour in Tucson as payback to JohnJay and Rich, who were the first in Top 40 radio to play their music.
