Before there was M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E, there was "Minnie's Yoo Hoo." And before there was the television show, there was the movie theater version of the Mickey Mouse Club. On Sept. 19, 1987, these former club members and Mickey aficionados gathered at the Arizona Historical Society to celebrate the good old days of growing up in Tucson. Rosemary Franco Henderson led the gang in a chorus of "Minnie's Yoo Hoo," the original Mickey Mouse Club theme song. During the 1930s, Mickey Mouse movies were a regular feature at Downtown's Fox Theatre. The historical society, with assistance from the Arizona Humanities Council, hosted the program and discussion on the theater's role in Tucson's history.
