Three people were killed in a wrong-way crash early Sunday southwest of Tucson, authorities said.
The crash happened about 3:00 a.m. on Arizona 86, more commonly known as West Ajo Way, near Ryan Airfield.
A man driving east in the westbound lanes slammed into a vehicle, killing a man and woman, the state Department of Public Safety said. Neither was identified.
The unidentified wrong-way driver, the sole occupant, died later at a hospital, the state DPS said.
Impairment is suspected in the crash, the agency said.
No further details were released Monday.
