Joaquin Murrieta Park reopens

Ari Medina smiles as she rides new playground equipment at Joaquin Murrieta Park, 1400 N. Silverbell Road. The park reopened after months of major renovations paid for by Proposition 407, impact fees, and nearly $1 million from the Arizona State Parks and Trails Land and Water Conservation Fund. Some of the improvements include a splash pad, new ramadas, walking paths and two new playgrounds.
