A 32-year-old man has died days after Tucson police say was struck by a SUV as he tried to run across East East 22nd Street earlier this month.
Isaac Freeman Magrady was struck by a Dodge Durango about 8:10 p.m. April 10, as he tried to run across 22nd Street near South Fordham Drive, east of South Wilmot Road, Tucson police said in a news release.
Magrady was about 60 feet from a marked crosswalk with traffic lighting when he was struck, the release said.
The unidentified driver stopped immediately and cooperated with investigators police said.
Police were notified on April 24 that he had died at the hospital.
The death marks the 16th pedestrian fatality in the city so far this year. There were six pedestrian death at the same time last year, police said.
