Today's "tail" shows and tells you of a baby roadrunner and it's mother.

A baby roadrunner peers out of his nest high in a tree. According to Mary Kay Hagar (whose property the tree rests) the nest has been there about a month. There were four good sized babies in the nest who voiced their objections as the photographer got closer.
The mother roadrunner kept her distance from the nest as the babies were being photographed. She had a small mouse in her beak to feed her hungry brood.
