BENJIE SANDERS / ARIZONA DAILY STAR 1977 Radio talk show host Don Imus came to Tucson on Oct. 27, 1977, as a favor for a friend and appeared on the Adams and Scholz morning program on KHYT (1330). Imus was invited to the radio show because of his personality and unique humor. Earlier this year, his radio career came to an end (at least temporarily) after a racially inflammatory remark got him fired by CBS.
