MARANA
1 Shoplifting was reported at 10:22 p.m. May 23 at the Circle K at 5633 W. Cortaro Farms Road. An employee told police a man stole a gallon of rum valued at $28.99. He said the man came out of the restroom, grabbed the rum and walked out.
2 Assault was reported at 2:05 a.m. May 22 at Old Father Inn, 4080 W. Ina Road. A man told police someone punched him in the face several times after he stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. He told police he lost consciousness for several seconds. His friends took him to the hospital.
3 A 17-year-old girl was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at 3:30 p.m. May 22 at Walmart, 8280 N. Cortaro Road. A store employee told police he saw the girl place several items in her purse and shopping cart. She paid for the items in the cart but not the merchandise in her purse. According to the report, the girl admitted she went to the store to shoplift. She was released to her mother.

PIMA COUNTY
4 Burglary was reported at 12:25 p.m. May 24 at Le Mirage apartments, 9777 N. Thornydale Road. A resident told deputies someone turned on three gas burners on his stove and placed a decorative teakettle on one of the burners. The kettle was damaged. A screen on a bedroom window had been bent. According to the report, nothing appeared to have been stolen.
5 Assault was reported at 3:17 a.m. May 24 at the Circle K at 5801 N. Oracle Road. An employee told deputies a customer entered the store at 2:50 a.m. and flirted with her. He followed her outside when she took a break. They talked and everything seemed fine. He followed her back inside and at one point, slipped his hand around her waist. He tried to pull her toward him. She told him to leave the store. He grabbed her hand and kissed it before she could pull away. She was afraid the man would hurt her and repeatedly told him to leave. The man did not leave until a delivery driver arrived.
6 Attempted theft was reported at 11:22 a.m. May 23 at St. Odilia Catholic Community, 7570 N. Paseo del Norte. A church employee told deputies someone tried to pry open the safe. He said the lock on the door to the room where the safe is was damaged. He told deputies nothing was missing.
ORO VALLEY
7 Theft from a motorcycle was reported at 10:24 p.m. May 19 in the 2200 block of East Tabular Place. The owner told police someone knocked over his motorcycle. He said the vandal took the seat, his helmet, a rear plastic cover and the gas tank bra, with a total value of more than $300. He said it would cost $1,200 to repair the motorcycle.
8 Two students were cited on suspicion of disorderly conduct at 12:05 p.m. May 18 at Ironwood Ridge High School, 2475 W. Naranja Drive. The assistant principle told police the girls were fighting. Both were released to their parents.
9 Theft was reported at 1:58 p.m. May 18 in the 200 block of East Mountain Vista Place. A resident told police a Nintendo Wii was missing from her living room. A camera, a Nintendo DS and jewelry were stolen from the master bedroom. Another resident told police he was fairly certain he left the front door unlocked.
