Respiratory Rally will be Saturday
The American Lung Association's Second Annual Talecris Respiratory Rally will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Hotel Arizona, at the Tucson Convention Center, 181 W. Broadway.
The latest in lung health information, free medical screenings, exhibits, breakfast and lunch will be included.
A comfortable treatment room will be available, and free valet parking and door prizes are lined up.
Special guests will be Dr. Robert Sandhaus, National Jewish Medical Center, and Dr. David Sanderson, Mayo Clinic.
Registration is $10 per person. Preregistration by Wednesday is required. To register or for more information, call Nancy Moyer at 323-1812.

HIV/AIDS volunteer orientation set
The Tucson Interfaith HIV/ AIDS Network, or TIHAN, will conduct orientation for volunteers from 5:15 to 9:15 p.m. Thursday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1350 N. Arcadia Ave.
In Pima County alone, more than 2,300 people are living with HIV/AIDS.
For 12 years, TIHAN has organized faith communities and volunteers to respond to this health crisis with compassion and education.
TIHAN needs volunteers for data entry, reception and events, among other things.
All ages, including seniors, university students and high school-age teens, are encouraged to participate.
Preregistration is required by Tuesday; call 299-6647. There is a $17 materials fee for training.
