An airman at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base was found dead from a gunshot on base at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Base officials said in a news released that there was no “imminent danger to the base or the community.”
The name of the airman was not released.
The cause of the incident is under investigation. The news release gave no indication if the incident was a suicide or if the airman had been shot by someone else.
