Six people died and 13 were injured by gunfire when a gunman opened fire outside the Safeway store at Ina and Oracle roads north of Tucson on Jan. 8, 2011.

Former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was holding a "Congress On Your Corner" event on Tucson's northwest side when the attack occurred.

Those who died:

Christina-Taylor Green, 9; Dorothy "Dot" Morris, 76; John Roll, 63; Phyllis Schneck, 79; Dorwan Stoddard, 76; Gabriel "Gabe" Zimmerman, 30

U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot point-blank in the head on Saturday at a northwest-side grocery store and remains hospitalized.
