Favorite class: Math, because she likes working with numbers. "I find it easy, but sometimes rounding off decimals can be challenging."
Activities in school: She is a student council representative who is working with students to raise money to buy a marquee for the school. Students are selling snacks and foods after school.
Activities outside of school: Angela stays active in folklórico dancing and art classes. She also enjoys watching her sister, who attends the University of Arizona, play soccer. And she attends Bible classes at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Church.
Who would you have lunch with if you could have lunch with anyone? "My nana because I miss her and want to talk to her," says Angela. Her grandmother, Leonor Uribe, died in April at the age of 82.

What books are you reading? "Inkdeath" by Cornelia Funke.
Whom do you admire most? "My parents, because they always have been there for me and are always there when I need help with my homework or have a problem."
What's your favorite song? "Stuck in the Moment" by Justin Bieber.
Plans after high school: Attend the University of Arizona.
Dream job: "FBI agent, because it is very interesting to find clues and solve crimes."
Dream car: A 2010 blue Mustang.
Favorite place in Tucson: Mount Lemmon, because Angela goes camping with her family, and she takes her dog, Scooby, a 3-year-old American bulldog, on hikes. She also enjoys watching her father fish at Rose Canyon Lake.
Hidden talents: "I like to dance baile folklórico because I like to exercise with some of my teachers at school."
Vouch: "Angela has always excelled academically, has excellent behavior, is humble and soft-spoken," said Grace Tapia-Beltran, who was Angela's teacher earlier this year. "Angela works hard in school because she wants to go to college, and she values education. This is something that her parents, who are immigrants from Mexico, have instilled in her."
