More than 50 varieties of zinfandel were among the star attractions at a popular event at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort Sunday.
The 10th Annual Zin, Blues & BBQ at Hacienda del Sol, 5601 N. Hacienda Del Sol Road, featured live local blues, wine tasting and a traditional barbecue buffet.
"The purpose is to promote our zinfandel," said general manager Matthew Firth. "We have over 50 different zins from around the world."
Hundreds of people filled the resort's patios.
"When we started this back in 2000, it was a great success," said co-owner Rick Fink. "It continues to grow each year and the quality is always improving."
Guests sipped wine, nibbled spit-fired lamb and pork and swayed to the music.
"We came today to enjoy some sunshine in this beautiful location and sample some great wines," said Anne Bowles. "Who can beat it?"
