Ruth Protas is 98 years old, but she kept up with every step of her great-granddaughter Amelia Protas, 3, as the two jumped up and down and danced to live music by Inge Larsen at the annual Mother/Daughter's Day luncheon at Atria Campana del Rio, 1550 E. River Road.
Just when Ruth had had enough, Evelyn Bersh, 99, took over the dancing duties, to the delight of residents and their daughters, granddaughters, and even great-granddaughters.
Irene Seibold, 88, was among four generations of her family that made it together for the afternoon.
Along with the live music, lunch and cake, mothers and daughters had a chance to give testimonials about their lives together, and prizes were given to the oldest mother, youngest mother, oldest daughter and youngest daughter.
Harriet Cleveland, 99, took home the bouquet of flowers for being the eldest of the bunch, but all hearts were warmer after an afternoon of fun surrounded by loved ones.
