The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona will honor four people who have made significant contributions to the community at its annual meeting and awards celebration, Wednesday at 7 p.m.
"It's really the culmination of a very successful year," said Stuart Mellan, the Jewish Federation's CEO.
The major awards will go to the Man of the Year, Gene Goldstein, and the Woman of the Year, Brenna Lacey. Both have contributed to the federation's local, national and international causes, Mellan said.
"The fact that they give so many hours of their life on a volunteer basis really deserves applause," he said.
The federation will also honor two adults younger than 40: Rodney Glassman, who was the driving force behind the federation's Latino-Jewish coalition formed 18 months ago; and Julie Feldman, who Mellan said helped "energize" the federation's young women's leadership council.
