What's new at the library
● Pima County Public Library branches, including Dusenberry-River Center and Kirk-Bear Canyon, are participating in a nine-month fitness program, Fit for Life, for teens and their families. Each class in the series will be held at a different branch.
The first class, to be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, will be a session on SWAT — or Strength Wellness Athletic Training — at the new Martha Cooper Branch Library, in Midtown at 1377 N. Catalina Ave. At this session, a personal trainer will teach some of the latest fitness-training techniques and provide nutrition information, according to the library's Web site.
