High temperatures in the Tucson metro area are expected to reach at least 80 Tuesday, 10 to 15 degrees above normal for Feb. 20, the National Weather Service says.
That follows a warmer-than-normal Sunday and Monday; the mid-afternoon temperature at Tucson International Airport Monday, Feb. 19, was 76 degrees.
Highs are expected to drop down to about 69 Wednesday and Thursday, though, before going back up to about 76 on Friday.
Expect a warm weekend Feb. 24-25 "with some potential for a weather system next Monday," the weather service says.
