UA has added Idaho State as one of its one-time "guarantee" games for next season. The Bengals are easily the weakest team on the schedule so far, finishing 7-22 and losing four starters. But it might be a good fit for UA, because the game comes early in the season, when Sean Miller will inevitably be testing things and confidence will be needed.
The Wildcats still have two more spots to fill, both home games, though they could be either guarantee games or home-and-home series.
The schedule as of now:
Nov. 14 Idaho State
Nov. 20-23 (TBA) Two home Las Vegas Invitational games to be determined (mid-major opponents)
Nov. 26 Santa Clara (at Las Vegas Invitational)

Thanks to Quincy Pondexter, who lifted Washington over Marquette today, the Pac-10 is actually showing up for the postseason ...
Already, of course, ASU lost to Jacksonville in the NIT and OSU lost its CBI magic. As the Oregonian's Paul Buker put it, the Beavers were "beaten senseless by a hockey school."Â
But Cal's veterans will try to get the Pac-10 another win Friday in Jacksonville, where the locals must be wondering what kind of conference the Pac-10 really is. Meanwhile, Mike Montgomery is keeping quiet about the Amondi Omoke situation.

From the previous discussion thread:
Andre S asked about Carrick Felix: He played HS ball in Goodyear, though he wasn't a high-major recruit at that point so not much was known about him. I've never seen him play, though he did well at a Juco power. ESPN has some background info on him. (You may need ESPN insider for this.)
John B asked about whether Mike Montgomery was offered the UA job: As Ben J said, timing was an issue. There is a popular theory that says if Lute Olson had permanently retired before, during or just after the 2007-08 season, that might have happened. But there's no real idea if Montgomery would have taken it.Â
Carlos asked about Mike Dunlap's influence on Oregon: I think you could argue the Ducks were actually better this season (better being relative, of course) and I believe he did help in some ways behind the scenes with individuals and with his defensive schemes.Â
Here, he had more influence because it was almost like he and Pennell were partners. At Oregon, Kent was still the boss, though Kent has said Dunlap was like a consultant to him.
John S asked about Jesse Perry -- There are multiple references to Perry and/or South Carolina canceling a visit. He is scheduled to visit Arizona next weekend and I hope to have more on him before then.
The question is whether UA would take both him and Kadeem Jack, if they can get both, since they are also still holding out hope of getting at least one guard. They only have one scholarship available as of now, but that could change, of course...
