Nick Foles’ collarbone injury is supposed to keep him out of commission for six to eight weeks, essentially the rest of the season.
The former Arizona Wildcats star is trying to get back on the field early.
Foles, who did not undergo surgery for the injury, was seen throwing with the practice squad and running sprints Sunday before the Philadelphia Eagles’ game at Green Bay.
Foles was cleared to begin working out the following day. Coach Chip Kelly said the quarterback’s return will depend on how the bone heals.
Philadelphia has gone 1-1 with Mark Sanchez, Foles’ replacement, under center.
