Six people were forced from their homes Tuesday night by water damage following a fire in a South Side apartment complex.
The Tucson Fire Department responded to the Colores del Sol Tucson Apartments, 5933 S. 6th Ave., around 7:20 p.m. and found the fire already extinguished by sprinklers, department spokeswoman Tricia Tracy said.
Water damage to two apartments forced two families from their homes, Tracy said. One unit housed two adults and two small children, while another was home to a 65-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, she said.
No injuries were reported from the fire, the cause of which hasn't been determined, Tracy said.
The Red Cross of Southern Arizona is providing assistance to the displaced residents.
