Eat all the Korean barbecue of your dreams at this new north-side restaurant
In 2022, Calvin Hoang brought the popular Korean-style corn dog chain, Two Hands, to Tucson. Customers lined up to get a chance to try the crispy corndogs coated in Flamin' Hot Cheetos and potato cubes.
Now, Hoang is ready to start his own restaurant, bringing another fun venture to add to Tucson's wide array of food choices.
This spring, Kotu Korean BBQ will open for business on the north side of the city where customers can eat and cook all the barbecue they want.
Like your typical Korean barbecue place, Kotu will have small grills built into the tables so customers can cook up their own beef and pork. Aside from the meat, Hoang said there will also be classic appetizers on the menu like fried chicken, fried dumplings and French fries.
This will be Hoang's first full-service restaurant, shifting gears from the fast food pace he's used to at Two Hands. I know I'm excited to try out the new restaurant when it opens!
