Chill out — musically speaking, anyway — with The Coolers Saturday, July 16. Blues, soul and R&B will be on tap for this event, part of the Palomino Nights series at Plaza Palomino, 2960 N. Swan Road. Get this: It's $10, or free with a receipt from one of the plaza's merchants for $10 or more. So, you can shop, then catch a concert. Also cool: A portion of the proceeds fund the Tucson Musician Museum's mentorship program. The concert runs 8-10 p.m. Call 907-7325 or click here.

On Saturday, July 16, In Concert will host the encore performance by Runa, an Irish Celtic band whose members hail from the U.S., Canada and Ireland. The performance Saturday at St. Francis in the Foothills is an encore to the band's debut concert in May 2015 at the Berger Center for the Performing Arts. The show starts at 8 p.m. at the church, 4625 E. River Road. Tickets: $20, $18 for seniors and members of Tucson Friends of Traditional Music at inconcert.com or at Antigone Books, 411 N. Fourth Ave.; or The Folk Shop, 2525 N. Campbell Ave.

You might know Linda Ackermann, pianist and possibly the most cheerful person you'll see on stage, from the Gaslight Theatre. On July 18 she'll be onstage with two family members accompanying her. The Ackermann Family Concert will showcase genres including boogie, bluegrass, celtic and classical. Two shows: 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tickets: $19.95. Call 886-9428 or click here.
Gregory Wolfe: Rod Stewart Tribute

Gregory Wolfe pays tribute to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer Rod Stewart, complete with raspy voice and spiky blond hair, July 22 at DesertView Performing Arts Center in SaddleBrooke. Wolfe will be singing selections from the the Great American Songbook (aka American standards). The concert runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance; $35 at the door. The gorgeous sounds of traditional Celtic music will fill St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church Friday, July 16, when the Irish quintet Runa performs. You’ll hear that haunting genre again at the Berger Performing Arts Center Sept. 16 with Tannahill Weavers, who hail from Scotland, and The Outside Track, which calls Ireland home. In Concert!
