"This ain't the Huxtables."
That's the teaser slogan for Snoop Dogg's first venture into the reality-show world. The E! cable network premiered "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood" on Sunday.
How realistic a portrayal of Snoop's family life this actually will be is up for debate, but the show should be entertaining for at least a couple episodes. "The Osbournes" got old quick.
When I first heard Snoop was going to be doing a reality show, I hoped for a more documentary style approach . . . which likely would have meant a few Cheech-and-Chong-type scenes, studio sessions and probably some not too happy times.
But as this show is on E!, I think we can expect something that feels rehearsed and plastic like, say, "Run's House" or "Hogan Knows Best."
On Sunday's episode, which airs at 11:30 p.m., Snoop's kids don't want to practice soccer unless he can produce David Beckham.
