A car and a school bus were involved in a crash Monday afternoon on East Glenn Street and North Estrella Avenue. The incident involved an Amphitheater Public Schools bus, police said.
The incident occurred when two police bike officers attempted to stop a car for loud music. The driver stopped and then drove away, running over an officer's bicycle. The car then collided with the rear of the Amphi bus.
Five children on the bus suffered minor injuries and one was taken to a hospital to be checked out, police said.
The driver of the car ran away and police were still searching for him.
