The National Weather Service is forecasting snow in Tucson Tuesday morning.
Up to an inch of snow is likely to fall on the valley floor after 8 a.m. Tuesday, the weather service says on it Web site. The snow level is forecast to go as low as 2,100 feet in the morning before rising to 3,000 feet in the afternoon.
The snow is part of a storm system that is likely to bring mostly rain to the Tucson area tonight and possibly Tuesday afternoon.
A winter storm warning is in effect from 7 p.m. today to noon Tuesday for areas at 2,500 feet and above. In the mountains above 7,000 feet, up to 20 inches of snow is forecast to fall before the storm moves out late Tuesday.
