Lt. Col. John Massee, a Tucson native will take command of the 355th Training Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
Massee is a 1982 graduate of Palo Verde High School and attended the Air Force Academy.
He is a A-10 Thunderbolt pilot who was stationed at D-M from 1995 to 1998, and returned to the base on his current assignment in 2003, according to a DM news release.
In January, he returned from a combat deployment to Afghanistan. A ceremony will he held at 8:30 Monday morning.
