SALT LAKE CITY — The 22-year-old woman at the center of the trial of polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs is writing an autobiography.
The book is scheduled to be published in April.
Elissa Wall accused Jeffs, leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of using his religious authority to force her at age 14 into a marriage and sexual union with her 19-year-old cousin in 2001.
Jeffs was convicted in September of two counts of rape by accomplice in 5th District Court in St. George. His lawyers are seeking a new trial.
Wall's lawyer, Roger Hoole, tells the Deseret Morning News that the book is a chance for his client to fully tell her story.
