A wildfire burning in Cochise County, about a mile west of Kartchner Caverns State Park, has grown to more than 250 acres, authorities said Thursday.
The Lonestar Wildfire is burning in the Whetstone Mountains and was estimated to be about 258 acres early Thursday with no containment, the Coronado National Coronado National Forest posted on Facebook.
The fire was first spotted Tuesday night. It grew to about 175 acres by Wednesday evening.
An assortment of federal and local agencies are involved the firefighting effort. Crews have been using air tankers and helicopters to help fight the blaze.
There have been no injuries or evacuations, authorities say.
