As crews continue to work on the Basket Bridge, expect some closures early today and Friday.
Northbound Euclid Avenue will be closed today from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. and southbound Euclid Avenue will be closed Friday from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.
The closures will take place from East 12th Street to East 18th Street as crews pour the concrete floor of the bridge.
Crews have already placed the structure of the basket bridge — which is designed to look like a Tohono O'odham woven basket — on concrete pillars over South Euclid.
The bridge is the last link in a system that will provide pedestrians and bicyclists a path from South Kolb and East Escalante roads to Downtown, at the end of the Diamondback bridge over East Broadway.
