Tucson police detectives are investigating a homicide which left one man dead in central Tucson Friday.
Officers responded to the Craycroft Tower Apartments on 1635 North Craycroft Road around 11 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. When they arrived they found an adult male with stab wounds and dispatched paramedics.
He was transported to Banner-University Medical Center but later succumbed to the injuries, according to a department news release.
Police identified the man as 62-year-old Mario Urena.
Detectives learned that Urena was arguing with his sister, 60-year-old Martha Parra, who lived with him in the apartment.Â
She obtained a knife and stabbed Urena when the argument led to a physical altercation. Parra called 9-1-1 while remaining at the scene.

Parra has been booked at the Pima County Jail and charged with domestic violence manslaughter.
