A Basis Tucson North graduate has been named a Church’s Scholar, receiving a $1,000 scholarship.
Tala Shahin is one of 175 students selected for the honor, which recognizes academic achievement and extracurricular activities.
Funds for the scholarships were raised through guests who purchased coupon booklets at participating company and franchise Church’s Chicken restaurants.
