Curious about the adolescent human brain?
The University of Arizona will present an evening of free public lectures Thursday, covering a variety of topics about the adolescent brain.
"Brain Science 101: The Adolescent Brain" will feature speakers from various disciplines, from speech and hearing sciences to law.
Topics include the legal and ethical issues related to adolescent-brain research to anatomical changes in the brain during adolescence.
The event will be held in DuVal Auditorium at University Medical Center, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Tucson Chapter for the Society of Neuroscience and the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, in association with National Brain Awareness Week, March 13 to 19.
Also on hand will be a "Brain Zoo," with brains from insects to whales. Viewing for the zoo will be available from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
