One man is dead after a shooting on Tucson’s south side Sunday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 5300 block of South Park Avenue, south of Irvington Road, just before 3 a.m., according to a news release from Tucson Police.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Tereso Hernandez-Reyes on the ground with signs of gunshot trauma.
Tucson Fire administered aid at the scene and transferred the Hernandez-Reyes to Banner University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival, the release said.
Detectives on the scene were able to determine that Hernandez-Reyes had just left a downtown nightclub with some friends and had pulled into a mobile home parking lot on South Park Avenue when they were approached by two additional vehicles, the release said.

A suspect then approached Hernandez-Reyes’ vehicle and began firing. Hernandez-Reyes ran from the vehicle, but was chased down and shot multiple times, the release said.
The suspect vehicles left the scene immediately following the incident.
Detectives have determined that the shooting was not gang related, the news release said.
No suspects are in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.
