According to our current administration the ‘wok’ acronym DEI, which stands for Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion, is politically unacceptable and needs to be removed from all of its policies. To many of us, however, this should not be allowed to happen because those three words are what our country stands for. But perhaps the following redefinition of DEI would be more acceptable: DEI stands for Dignity, Empathy, and Intelligence. I sadly doubt, though, that these qualities will be more acceptable to this administration.
